Elle Bishop smoothed out the silk of her dress. It was the finest of whites, shimmering in the light of the elegant chandeliers above. A blush coloured her cheeks. This was the happiest day of her life, and even better days were yet to come. Oh, how she had yearned for this moment! Daddy walking her down the aisle, rose petals scattered upon the ground, teary faces that beamed with joy shining up at her as she passed the pews.

And best of all, the ethereal figure standing before the altar.

But now, the ceremonies had ended. Elle had slipped out of her dress and into a nightgown. She watched in loving awe as her husband emerged from the suite's bathroom in nothing but a white shirt, slacks, and a tie, with a sturdy axe slung over a slender shoulder.

"Claire?" She murmured breathlessly.

"Yes, my love?" Claire answered, equally breathless.

"Do you promise...we'll be together? Forever?" Tears glistened in Elle's eyes.

Claire's smile was like the sun. She put a hand on her wife's cheek, and it blossomed red under her touch. "Forever and for all time, dearest."

"Oh, Claire!"

The axe fell to the ground as Elle launched herself into her husband's open arms, the two sharing a passionate embrace. Elle threaded her hands through Claire's hair and drew her in for a world-shattering kiss.

It was like heaven on earth, except not even heaven could feel this good. She was floating on air, high above the clouds -

"Oh shit, my fingers are stuck in your hair."

"Well get them out!"

"Oh my fucking god, it's impossible. I can't even move, Claire!"

"Yes you can, just - AUGH stop yanking!"

"I think your hair swallowed my ring!!"

"Why can't you just get it cut? God, this happens every time-"

"Excuse me, I am not cutting my hair. I like my hair!!"

"You know who else likes your hair? FUCKING RATS, THAT'S WHO. BECAUSE THEY LIVE IN IT."

After forty seven people called 911 to report unearthly shrieking in the top floor of the Four Seasons, the police discovered two bodies. One was a smoking corpse, electrocuted and charred beyond recognition, yet somehow it still clutched the axe lodged in Elle Bishop's face.
